Being the best we can be

Standards, Respect, Achievement, Care

Welcome to the Ysgol Clywedog website.  I am delighted to introduce myself as the Headteacher at Ysgol Clywedog.  Our main aim is to ensure that all of our students achieve their full potential in all areas of their school life.

We firmly believe in educating the whole child.  We look to promote achievement in all areas of school life, such as academic success, sporting achievement and nurturing creative talents in the Arts and Technology.

We encourage all students to respect each other and all members of the wider school community.  In short, every person associated with our school matters.  Individual personal development is at the heart of what we do. As we approach our 10th anniversary we have much to be proud of.  We are a caring community school with excellent facilities.

The school is making good progress and we achieved our best ever exam results in 2013.  I am committed to raising standards further here at Ysgol Clywedog and 2014 will see record results again at the school.  Staff and students are working together to ensure that we are all "being the best we can be".

We look to aim high and set challenging goals for everyone associated with the school.  We set the highest standards and we look to be the best we can be.

Whether you are a current or prospective parent or a member of the local community you will always be assured of a warm welcome at our school.  Feel free to drop in for a tour or just an informal discussion.  I look forward to meeting you.

Yours sincerely

Martin Hulland
