We are totally committed to improving standards of basic skills in our school. We have a whole-school strategy and an action plan to improve performance in these areas.
Our aim is to ensure that the teaching of basic skills is effective and we plan effective opportunities for them to do so. This includes the use of a variety of teaching styles and materials, based on the specific needs of a particular pupil or group of pupils.
Our commitment and success in this area is proven by the fact we have recently gained the Basic Skills Quality Mark.
