If any partnership is to succeed, all parties involved must play an equal part giving full commitment to a process, which will endeavour to improve the educational opportunities of all students. Our aims and criteria are:-
Aims
Ø to promote a successful school based on a meaningful partnership between governors, teachers, parents and pupils;
Ø to ensure that all partners are clear about their own and the other partner’s roles within the process;
Ø to ensure all partners are accountable for the role they play and are aware of the accountabilities of others;
Ø to create an environment appropriate to the process of learning and of encouraging respect and good behaviour;
Ø to encourage pupils to undertake a measure of responsibility for their own learning and personal development.
Criteria
Ø the governing body accepts and adopts the aims of the agreement as the policy of the school;
Ø acceptance and support of the policy by the parents and pupils prior to pupils being admitted to the school;
Ø all partners have different but complimentary roles to play in the implementation of the policy.
