Joining Ysgol Clywedog
We are a popular school and currently have approximately 900 pupils on roll. We serve a wide variety of feeder schools, including those near to us in the town and other village primary schools, contributing to our truly comprehensive intake.
To help pupils adjust easily to Ysgol Clywedog we have formed, and are developing, strong links with our feeder schools. The school consults regularly with the primary Headteachers. Groups of pupils from primary schools visit our site for swimming lessons and for any special occasions in subject areas like science, using our specialist equipment in these fields. Our Learning Support Team members visit feeder schools to discuss the individual pupils prior to starting at Ysgol Clywedog.
During their last year at primary school, pupils are invited to attend for a day as an introduction to the school and its routines.
