More Able and Talented
Awareness of the needs of more able and talented pupils’ is a key part of our provision at Ysgol Clywedog. Departments are encouraged to identify opportunities within their schemes of work for tasks/extensions activities to stretch and challenge the more able e.g. in geography there is stress on higher level thinking skills.
The school newsletter, ‘Ins and Outs’, is published regularly. We are always looking for additional recruits and budding reporters amongst our pupils.
Our work with more able and talented pupils highlights just how many truly gifted individuals we have at Ysgol Clywedog. Young people from our school continue to excel in music events and sports teams and the number of early entries to GCSE exams has grown. These pupils are surely destined for great things and it is a privilege to be involved with them.
